When it comes to music industry scumbags, TuneCore wins the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal and if there were a platinum medal that would win that too. Because artists are figuring out what a scam TuneCore is they are bypassing them and uploading their music to sites like iTunes, Spotify, CD Baby and Reverb Nation without going through TuneCore and getting ripped off and getting the runaround.
For some time now the crooks at TuneCore have been filing false copyright infringement claims against Youtubers.
If Youtube had an ounce of integrity they would ban TuneCore for life and ban their employees from ever using Youtube.
Check out the follow complaints from Youtubers about the criminal act of TuneCore. As you can see, the complicit crooks at Youtube quickly close these threads.

Disputing a false copyright claim by TuneCore caused by Content ID error
by Michael Pettitt
4/15/15
I recently noticed that several of my videos now have a copyright claim from TuneCore for a song called "Rolling Stone" by Dirty Frazier. Two problems:
1) I never used the song in any of my videos, and I'm convinced that this is a mistake made by the Content ID system.
2) YouTube's dispute system doesn't allow you to dispute a claim because Content ID made a mistake (because Content ID clearly never make mistakes).
For reference, here's a link to one of the videos. YouTube claims that I used the song from 1:37:53 - 1:38:43:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aP2B4ulM1tU
And here's a link to the song TuneCore is claiming:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX4m7o_VCbg
Chances are, you'll hear the difference. Is there anything I can do to get TuneCore off my back?

I also have issues with TuneCore having raised a copyright claim on a song I have properly licensed from a legit and well known royalty free music provider. The song was cleared when I posted the video but now TuneCore has raised claims on it. Even my provider is trying to have their claims removed but with no results so far. As a consequence monetization on my video is currently suspended and I am losing money because of their action. How did your dispute go Michael? Did they eventually remove the claim?
Bogus Copyright Infringement Claim By ToneCore
Tonecore has filed a copyright infringement claim on this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p822O4n20z4 I uploaded. The video is not a song nor does it contain lyrics or music other than an A-440 tone played using MIDI. ToneCore is claiming this is the video and song.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW5zwEFMk4o.
I don't think this was done by accident. Youtube has allowed ToneCore to monetize my video for their gain based on their fraudulent claim.
There are two basic issues here. The first is what is to stop shady companies like ToneCore from doing this? Criminals can easily file false copyright infringement claims and steal other people's work they ToneCore is doing.
I see this as a Youtube policy problem that could lead to massive class action lawsuits. The fact that sleazy entity like ToneCore can say you stole their copyrighted work and then use your work to make get revenue is just plain wrong. It is like claiming someone stole your property when they didn't and then stealing something of their's claiming it is an offset.
The remedy I would suggest to YouTube is to ban sleazy companies like ToneCore and file civil action and criminal charges against them. I would further suggest that Google deindex companies like TuneCore as well. A good corporate citizen would do that.
