Mixcraft 6 vs Mixcraft 6.1

Mixcraft 6 was betaware and Mixcraft 6.1 is betaware with some fixes... well maybe.

Acoustica has updated Mixcrap 6 to version 6.1 build 204.
Changes in Mixcraft 6.1 b204:
  • New loops - 4 new loop kits.
  • Major Time Signature Marker Repairs.
  • Can no longer move track markers with time sigs via drag and drop.
  • Bullet proofing.
  • Japanese Language Support.
  • Mute button on clips working better.
  • Got rid of right click menu on control surface dialog.
  • Autoscroll was not working starting from Submix track.
  • Changing selected track with keyboard now skips hidden tracks.
  • Changing track color now works from main menu.
  • Now syncing drum map when an instrument changes.
  • Fix for auto track name customization garbage.
  • Fix for the 'reverse' checkbox not sticking on automation controllers.
  • Now hiding name edit box when scrolling horizontally.
  • Improvements & fixes in the logic for lanes.
  • Auto-rewind now goes back to the position of the last playback.
  • Fixes & improvements for merging clips.
  • Fixes to the recording count-in.
  • New preference for sending pedal-off messages at the end of clips.
  • Fix for Mixcraft playing clips beyond the Loop End marker.
  • Fix for Mixcraft not obeying MIDI input settings when loading a project.
  • Output track effect automation information now saved and loaded properly.
  • Fix for freezing submix child tracks.
  • Fix for solo button on duplicate track not working.
  • Can now control audio effects from a MIDI source on Virtual Instrument tracks.
  • Library now can sort numbers such as # of bars intelligently.
  • Fix for slow shutdown of Mixcraft.
  • Added loop to check for and remove NAN in Elastique output (rare).
  • Resizing message box for horizontal text.
  • Fix for some VSTs not getting key strokes.
  • Fix for recording while preview sound is playing.
  • Merging cross faded clips now produces clip with the crossfading included.
How many more fixes does this POS need?

Mixcraft has the potential of being like Grargeband because it is easy to use but unlike Garageband it's extremely buggy.

  1. I like seeing people start blogs where they're angry that the world doesn't work the way they imagine it to, but they never think "where did I get that thing I imagined?"

It's like watching someone get mad that lights turn red sometimes, but they make no effort to understand the system, they just shout at it.

So, congrats on showing that bugs and fixes exist.

The most expensive products have the MOST bugs to work out. Why doesn't your version of reality match up with every company in existence's practices. You could wish the sky was purple, but it's fucking blue and your opinion that it should be purple is what makes you the dumbass of the century.

You're broken and nobody's trying to fix you? Is that why you're so mad?

    Love,

  2. Maddox you pathetic turd nerd you actually said and I quote.........."The most expensive products have the MOST bugs to work out. Why doesn't your version of reality match up with every company in existence's practices."

With that statement you proved the point of this blog. You are indeed a nerd and a dumb fuck. I hope you get cancer.

  3. Maddox is a dumb fuck and a typical geek fag gear queer. The fact that he tolerate getting fucked in the ass by the DAW companies proves that he sucks a lot of corporate dick like a good Republican.

    1. Win XP and 7 work great as to the Mac OS. Most software, even microsoft software works well. Complex gaming software works great as does voice recognition software, business software, photo software, CAD software, accounting software ect,, ect,,, DAW SOFTWARE SUCKS and you know it low tacks.

    1. I'd rather write about how companies like Acoustica that sell buggy betaware and never get the bugs out and that is what I am doing.

Acoustica has the gall to call Mixcraft a professional DAW!

My HP running Windows 7 crashed once in 3 years. Mixcrap crashes several times a day but it gets worse.... The plugins suck!

    1. No doubt. A lot of nerd/geeks defend their DAW of choice.

The fact that these DAWS crash as much on Macs as they do on PCs shows that 99% of the time it is not your computer. Most DAWs are betaware. Most DAWS are extremely buggy.

  8. This is funny. Mixcraft isn't perfect. It's quite cheap. It's ok. I use it, I don't hate it. I am probably a homosexual, therefore who loves bumming bottoms. I am, as it happens. Hey ho. Chill the fuck out, people.

  10. Compared to other DAWS it sucks less and 6.1 is a vast improvement but 6 should have been 6.1. The fact that Mixcraft sucks less than say Cubase doesn't mean it doesn't suck.
